Da Nang Airport Motorbike Rental & Delivery
Land at Da Nang International Airport (DAD) and have a bike waiting — delivered to a meet point near arrivals or straight to your hotel. We bring two helmets, set you up, and Kai runs a 90-second legal check first so you ride something you're actually allowed to ride. All-in from $18/day, cash deposit on handover, no passport held.

How airport delivery works
Tell Kai your flight number and arrival time. We meet you at an agreed point near DAD arrivals, or deliver to your hotel — whichever is simpler. We bring two helmets, walk you through the bike, take a cash deposit on handover, and you ride off. No passport is held.
Message Kai before you fly with your flight number, arrival date and time, and where you're staying. Kai confirms a meet point and a price that already includes delivery, two helmets, and 24/7 support.
Da Nang Airport is small and central — roughly 10–15 minutes from the beach and most hotels — so meeting near arrivals or delivering to your accommodation are both quick.
On handover we check the bike together, hand over the helmets, and take a cash deposit. We don't take your passport as security — bring it for your own ID, but it stays with you.
The 90-second legal check decides what you ride
Before delivery, Kai checks your licence and nationality against Vietnamese law. Vietnam recognises only the 1968 Vienna Convention IDP. If yours isn't recognised, we route you to a licence-free electric scooter — never a petrol bike over 50cc you can't legally ride.
A petrol motorbike over 50cc needs a motorbike licence plus a valid 1968 Vienna Convention IDP (category A1 for up to 125cc, A for over 125cc). A 1949 Geneva Convention permit is not valid here.
If you're from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Thailand, the Philippines, the UAE, Russia or another 1968 country, your IDP covers the full petrol fleet. If you're from the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Spain and similar 1949 countries, a petrol bike over 50cc is off the table — and we'll tell you that straight.
Either way you ride: an electric scooter rated 4 kW or under needs no licence and no IDP, and is legal for every nationality. The check just means the right bike is on the delivery van before we set off.
What to bring and what's included
Bring your passport for ID, your driving licence, and your 1968 IDP if you have one. We bring the bike, two helmets, and the cash deposit paperwork. Pricing is all-in from $18/day and covers delivery, helmets, and 24/7 support — no hidden airport surcharge.
From you: passport (kept by you, not us), home driving licence, and your 1968 IDP if you're riding a petrol bike over 50cc. For a licence-free electric, no IDP is needed.
From us: a clean, maintained bike, two quality helmets, a quick handover walkthrough, and a phone number that's answered 24/7 if anything comes up on the road.
Pricing is transparent and all-in from $18/day — delivery to the airport or hotel, both helmets, and support are already in the price. The cash deposit is taken on handover and returned when you bring the bike back.
Timing your arrival
Flights shift, so we track your flight number and adjust. Message Kai once you've landed and cleared the gate. If you arrive late at night or your flight is delayed, tell us in advance — we plan the meet around your real landing time, not the scheduled one.
Give us your flight number when you book so we can watch for delays and avoid you standing around. A quick message when you've landed and collected your bags lets us time the meet point precisely.
Late-night or early-morning arrivals are fine if arranged ahead — just flag it with Kai so we have someone ready. Same for a hotel delivery if you'd rather settle in first and get the bike the next morning.
If your plans change mid-trip, the same number handles extensions, a swap to a different bike, or roadside help — one contact for the whole stay.
Vietnam recognises only the 1968 Vienna Convention IDP. A petrol motorbike over 50cc requires a motorbike licence plus a valid 1968 IDP (A1 for up to 125cc, A for over 125cc); a 1949 Geneva permit is not valid. An electric scooter rated 4 kW or under needs no licence or IDP and is legal for every nationality. Under Decree 168/2024, riding without a recognised licence is fined VND 2–4 million up to 125cc or VND 6–8 million over 125cc, plus a 7-day impound, and whoever hands an unlicensed rider the bike faces a separate VND 8–10 million fine — which is exactly why our handover starts with the legal check and why we won't deliver a petrol bike to someone who can't ride it legally. Helmets are mandatory and the drink-drive limit is effectively zero.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rent a motorbike at Da Nang Airport on arrival?
Yes — we deliver to a meet point near DAD arrivals or to your hotel, with two helmets and a quick handover. Arrange it with Kai before you fly, sharing your flight number and arrival time. A 90-second legal check first decides whether you ride a petrol bike or a licence-free electric.
Do I need an International Driving Permit to ride from the airport?
For a petrol motorbike over 50cc, yes — a valid 1968 Vienna Convention IDP plus your motorbike licence (category A1 up to 125cc, A over 125cc). A 1949 permit isn't valid in Vietnam. An electric scooter rated 4 kW or under needs no licence and no IDP, so anyone can ride one.
Do you keep my passport as a deposit?
No. We never hold your passport. The deposit is paid in cash on handover and returned when you bring the bike back. Bring your passport as personal ID, but it stays with you the whole time.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Share your flight number when you book and we track it, so we adjust the meet time to your real landing rather than the schedule. Message Kai once you've cleared arrivals and we'll confirm the meet point. Late-night arrivals are fine when arranged in advance.
